The Most Important Innovation in Wound Care in 30 years.
Expedite is a revolutionary new medical food that utilizes the latest scientific advancements in wound healing and is the most important nutritional innovation in wound management in over 30 years.
Prolyl-Hydroxyproline (PO) and Hydroxyprolyl-Glycine (OG) are two dipeptides found in collagen, which is the most abundant protein in humans and is found in tissues such as tendons and ligaments. These dipeptides are formed by the specific arrangement of amino acids within the repeating tri-peptide unit of collagen, which consists of glycine, proline, and hydroxyproline.
Through a patented process, the collagen dipeptides in Expedite are concentrated 30 times the level in regular collagen supplements. PO and OG dipeptides have been shown to build collagen deposition in the wound bed, leading to more complete wound closure. In a double-blind, multi-center, randomized, peer reviewed, published study- the gold standard of scientific investigation- with 112 patients over 16 weeks, the collagen dipeptides in Expedite were found to improve wound closure by 74% and 71% as measured by PSST and PUSH scores, respectively.
Expedite is unique compared to other nutritional wound products because it builds collagen deposition directly at the wound site, rather than simply supporting general wound healing nutrition. This makes Expedite a powerful new tool for wound intervention.
